This portrait was always going to be a challenge as there were no close up photos of Indie and no chance of getting any more as, sadly she is no longer with us.
I scanned the photograph in at really hight resolution and blew it up.
This is where we are right now. This is how not to draw when you are right handed – going from right to left but I had to make sure I could get the detail in her face.
I hope this does her justice as she is beautiful.
