Two days of pictures together because nothing was dry enough yesterday so I could not take photos. I am still on track at the moment though…..just at the mercy of the paint.
The first is called Firestream and is a mixed media abstract. It uses handmade paper, acrylic paints, beads and wire and some lovely deep reds and gold. This is my favourite colourway for paintings and I love everytime I get to use these colours.
Firestream is 23cm x 17cm
The second picture is another mixed media abstract which was inspired by our heatwave. It was as hot as the red in the picture and the sky was a beautful blue/green. The horizon had a lovely silvery sparkle which I have shown in this picture with silver acrylic paint, silver leaf and tiny sparkly beads.
So, here is Heatwave. (50cm x 50cm)
I have now survived a week of my challenge but there is a long way to go and lots to do. I hope you will stay with me : )
Gorgeous stuff you’re producing there lady. I’m going to have to commission you to do something for me soon. 🙂
These look great. The white line in heat wave makes me think of a layer of ice cream melting in all the heat.
