This is my 50th blog post since I started by introducing myself. I was really not sure how this was going to develop but it has. It is a great way to share my work with you and to make myself work harder!! I have also enjoyed sharing other people’s art with you. There are a lot of incredible artist out there and I intend to continue sharing work that I enjoy with you and hope you enjoy it too.
The biggest part of this has been my challenge to get ready for my first ever Art Festival, the first time I have shown a range of my paintings and drawings live. It seemed a terrifying prospect for me but the support I have received has been amazing and I am so grateful.
Today I am sharing another drawing with you, his name is ‘Domino’ …no big surprise. What is a surprise to me is how quickly my work has developed by spending time working on it every day. I have probably spend more hours drawing and painting in the last 17 days than I have in the last 6 months and I think it shows in my work. I have to admit, in the past, I have spent more time worrying that things may not turn out as I hope than just getting on with it and the latter is a much better approach. Not everything works out but everything is an experience to learn from.
Domino was not sure what pose would be best for his portrait but was very curious to see how it would turn out. I am sharing it with you first though, and I hope he approves.
Have to cut this short again today as Domino took quite a bit of time to complete but will be back again tomorrow with another friend to share.
Thank you
