I thought I would take today to remind you all why I am doing the 30 day challenge.  It is a build up to the Pittenweem Arts Festival.  Pittenweem, for anyone who doesn’t know, is a tiny seaside village on the East Neuk of Fife and for 9 days in August artists take over the village.  Exhibitions are set up in halls, homes, garages, shops and any other space that anyone can find so the village becomes a huge exhibition with dozens of artists and craft people. There is also Drama, Music Children’s Events, Films, Workshops, Fireworks and more…

It is a friendly atmosphere in a picturesque village and hundreds of people including families, individuals, students and professional come along to appreciate and buy art.

This is where you can find me….and all of the other artists around me.

I would highly recommend it to anyone who can make it, one warning to the lades though……wear flat shoes!!  (I didn’t think the men needed that warning 😉 )  ……oh, and if you do come along, please say hi, I would love to meet you.

Now for today’s artwork, it has a very retro feel to it and is again in the rich chocolate colour that I love.  The main feature of the painting is a beaded panel, woven into a gold wire frame, it is set in a bed of gold leaf to create a luxurious feel.

I hope you enjoy it
